what's the difference?

a vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat meat.

a vegan is someone who believes that people who eat meat are Morally Evil.

when my cat brought home a mouse that wasn't dead yet

and played with it

and i was watching in morbid curiosity and dread

thinking this is really cruel

and that nature is cruel

...

and that ladybirds eat aphids

and that bees get run over by bicycles

and birds eat worms

and that the whole of nature is just creatures eating other creatures

and that burgers are inherently unhealthy regardless of how you feel about "the animal that suffered to make this burger"

and if society ever fell and i moved out to the woods and lived among hunters who brought food home

that i would eat those animals
