The cats today
Mar. 4th, 2024 03:58 pmSomebody black as I was about to leave the house, but they were gone when I stepped outside.
Bunch of seagulls near the venue where I guess someone had dropped some food, and a little kitty cosplaying as a hyena was watching them VERY intently. But got spooked by me and ran off. (I'm sorry)
Saw the venue dog but didn't get to greet him today.
Got back home and made plans to go out again. Checked the garden first, just in case, and saw white collar in the bush. We played stick for a short while and I got sniffed, but she never came close enough for me to poke. Also at one point she ran further into the bush to pounce on something I couldn't see, which then buzzed...... i hope it wasn't a bee! don't play with bees!!!!!
Went out. Saw grey squirrel. She is so damn jumpy when you approach her at full height, but what am I supposed to do about that? Drop to the floor when I'm on the other side of the street and army crawl towards her? Tail up to greet. It's warm enough now that she was rolling all over the ground.
Saw Zeus the dog out and about. Apparently he goes BERSERK when there's other dogs around in public. Keep a good hold of that lead, you guys!
On the way back, saw greybob sitting behind a front garden bush. Politely begged him to come out on to the path so that anyone looking didn't think I was just randomly crouching near my neighbour's bush for no reason, but he seemed REALLY grumpy.
And again grey squirrel came up to me. Strokes, lying down, etc. Then she saw Bob sitting behind the bush trunk. She went up soooooooo slowly. And I was saying not to fight (but when do they ever listen to me?) and at the first sign of conflict I decided I would whisk squirrel out of there because bob has taken enough shit from the cats in this street. Sure enough, somebody started growling, so I moved her away. I....
I think it was Bob growling??????? Which is weird cause I've N E V E R heard him.
I shooed grey squirrel a bit too much and i hope she forgives me.
I just don't want any fighting!!!!!!
